Compensation: $800/month + sales commission
role overview
The Community Coordinator is the connective tissue between Harness Cycle and the people we serve—our Circle Members, riders, neighbors, and community partners.
This role exists to cultivate meaningful relationships, create memorable experiences, and grow awareness of Harness Cycle throughout Cleveland. You'll develop programs that deepen member engagement and create opportunities for new people to experience what makes Harness special.
This is an ideal role for someone passionate about community building, hospitality, events, and relationship management. Whether you're studying community development, exploring a career transition, or looking to grow into a larger leadership role, this position offers the opportunity to build something meaningful while helping shape the future of Harness.
key responsibilities
1. Internal Community Building
Cultivate meaningful relationships with Circle Members and core riders
Identify opportunities to connect members beyond the bike through intentional experiences and introductions
Design initiatives that strengthen member engagement, retention, and belonging
Manage community communication channels, including newsletters and SMS campaigns
Gather rider feedback and surface insights that improve the member experience
2. External Community Engagement & Partnerships
Grow awareness of Harness Cycle throughout Ohio City and the greater Cleveland community
Identify and cultivate partnerships with local businesses, residential communities, nonprofits, neighborhood organizations, and corporate partners
Represent Harness at neighborhood meetings, community events, and local activations
Create partnership opportunities that introduce new audiences to the studio while providing value to community partners
Build and maintain a pipeline of relationships that support long-term brand growth
3. Event Planning & Experience
Plan and support monthly community events, pop-ups, and partner activations
Collaborate with the Content Creator to ensure every event delivers an exceptional in-person experience and extends naturally into compelling storytelling
Capture learnings and feedback to continuously improve future programming

Commit 5–10 hours per week
Serve as a collaborative partner to the Content Creator and studio leadership
Attend community meetings, networking events, and neighborhood activations as appropriate
Meet with the owner once per week
Take ownership of community initiatives from concept through execution
Build organized systems for partnerships, event planning, and community outreach
Communicate proactively and consistently with the team

Naturally outgoing and energized by connecting people
Passionate about building community and creating memorable experiences
Highly organized with strong project management skills
Creative, resourceful, and able to identify partnership opportunities others may overlook
Comfortable representing the Harness brand throughout the community
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and build systems from the ground up
Familiarity with Cleveland, Ohio City, or the local wellness and small business community is a plus
Experience in events, hospitality, community organizing, marketing, or partnerships is preferred—but curiosity, initiative, and relationship-building skills matter most
